This Knife was handmade in my little Workshop in Austria.
The Blade is made from L2 Steel, a low alloy Steel with 0.81% Carbon. Alltough it is not rustproof, drying after use and oiling it from time to time should take care of that. The Blade will get some color over time, but dont be disencouraged, its normal and just means the knife will age with you.
5 Pins, which also lend the name to the design, secure the Chakte Kok handle to the blade, enhancing the eyecatching optics of the wood
The Hamon, which is traditionally used in japanese swordmaking, is basically a temperline. This is achieved in a carefull heatreating process. Here it is used as an aesthetical element.
Blade thickness: 3mm
Handle: Chakte Kok
